Reports to: Publisher CLB Media is currently searching for a vibrant, energetic individual who is experienced in selling digital media advertising to join our team.
The Digital Sales Representative will be responsible for bringing digital advertising solutions to our existing clientele and also identifying additional non traditional methods of serving the advertisers needs through new forms of technology. A critical component of this position includes championing and implementing CLB Media's proprietary digital sales strategy.
The ideal candidate will have experience creating unique digital sales proposals and presenting them effectively to both large and small customers. Lengthy experience in publishing and/or sales is not mandatory. We are simply looking for an individual who has a passion for new media and a relentless competitive spirit. The ability to think creatively, sell strategically, and communicate digital strategies effectively both internally and externally is essential.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Initiating sales calls to new accounts and grow the advertiser base for the assigned territory;
- Reviewing and analyzing current accounts and developing customized digital strategies to address the client's needs;
- Working with the Publisher to establish specific goals relating to advertising sales, trade shows and events, schedules, account contact, and call reports;
- Working with Publisher on new digital sales and marketing strategies, promotional and circulation ideas to address trends impacting the market;
- Entering notes for all in-person and prospecting calls in company CRM system daily;
- Submitting accurate sales projections by week, month, quarter and year as requested by management;
- Traveling in Canada and U.S. to attend events, sell advertising and prospect new business.
Qualifications:
a) Education:
- Post Secondary education or equivalent in Business/Marketing
b) Experience:
- 2+ years experience selling digital advertising solutions in a competitive media environment
c) Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment
- Excellent time management, oral and written communication skills
- Self motivated, results orientated, work ethics
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Ability to work both independently or in a team setting in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
