Job Title: Editor, CLB Media Inc.

Summary of Position:
CLB Media is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Editor who has digital and print publication experience to join our team. 
The individual will fulfill the brand’s editorial mandate through planning, researching, writing, aggregating, videoing and editing content that reflects the key issues and trends within the target market. A primary responsibility of this role is to foster an engaged online community, by using online tools and interactive features to attract and keep online visitor attention. The Editor will also work with the Publisher to develop relationships within the field including attending tradeshows and networking functions. 

The ideal applicant will have experience creating digital content such as e-newsletters, videos, and digital editions and managing digital media such as online communities and websites within a specific industry. The individual must have a Post Secondary education in Journalism, English, Communications or related field and possess 3+ years of progressive editorial experience either in business to business communications or in a weekly/daily newspaper environment.

The position requires someone who has a passion for new technology and understands the capability online and digital media offer to develop an engage an audience.

Qualifications: (M) = Mandatory  or  (P) = Preferred
Education:
•    Post Secondary education in Journalism, English, or related field (M)

Experience:
•    3 years editorial experience (M)
•    Experience with online and digital media (M)

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
•    Proven aptitude for creating content for new media platforms (M)
•    Demonstrated effective relationship-building with staff, suppliers, readers, online visitors and advertisers (M)
•    Proven ability to plan, schedule, organize and prioritize (M)
•    Accurate and detail oriented editing skills (M)
•    Ability to work under pressure and successfully meet deadlines (M)
•    Comfortable working in a fast paced and challenging environment (M)
•    Must be a team player and possess a positive, upbeat attitude (M)
•    Flexibility to meet occasional travel requirements (M)  
•    Proven leadership experience within the journalism field (P)
•    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal direction (P)
